This week I’m continuing work on the website updates, I’m really excited about how it’s coming along and I can’t wait to see what you lovely Patreon supporters think!
The websites being left in a half finished state overnight so those who are eager enough can probably figure out what the big Patreon update is going to consist of if they have a dig around the updated pages. One of the big updates that will be necessary for the Patreon is the billing style.
Currently Patreon supporters are billed at the end of each month and after that they receive the exclusive downloadable content. However for this update to work I’ll be switching things over to an upfront payment style. New patrons will be charged the day they become a patron, then on the 1st of the month going forward.
I’m going to try and make this change in a way that will affect current patrons the least, changing it at the start of next month to coincide with the launch of the major update (more on that soon). This will mean you’re basically getting an extra month of FUT Patronage for free. As your payment will be both for the previous month and cover the next month.
This is a necessary change as a large part of the update is shifting away from access to a single exclusive toy each month towards access towards a growing library of exclusive toys with new additions each month and if a new patron was to join with the current payment style they would be able to join, download everything and leave without actually paying a dime.
It’s all very boring to explain, but I’ll be uploading a video showing off all the updates to the site, including the major Patreon update and show how things have improved and how the new payment method works.
I’ll explain in greater detail in the update “launch” post what the payment changes entail, but if you have any questions, as always, feel free to leave them as comments o this post.
In a somewhat unrelated note, I had a surreal experience whilst I was trying to work on the site updates…
I kept dreaming but whilst I was still awake, like I was passing out but still moving around and I’d only realize I was dreaming when I thought back on it like 20 minutes later and think “huh, it was weird that there were ovens all over the house, oh wait none of that was real”. There was no line between reality and dream it was a horrifying experience.
I had something similar a few years ago where my mind was just running away with itself so much I couldn’t think or problem solve without it devolving into a dream like mess. The peak of which involved me laying in bed and it felt, as real as it could, as if something had grabbed my legs and was pulling me out from underneath the sheets.
I hope I haven’t been having some kind of stroke or brain melt.
